Summer Time

Well our summer has been full of surprises. Our shower in the master bath had a leak and caused some damage to the wall and flooring in the livingroom. Right after that our a/c broke. If you are not a Texan this might not seem like a big deal but it is a HUGE deal. When it went out it had been over 100 degrees outside for over 2 weeks. It is not too much fun to go without a/c when it is that hot out. We got our new a/c put in and it has only got over 100 once since we got it. Go figure.

My kids have been so ownry here lately. They have been doing thing that shock me almost every day. I went in their room the other day to find that Taige had taken the scissors and cut open a beanbag pillow and dumped it all over the floor. I was mad!! When I asked her why she would do such a thing she replied, " I thought it would be fun. " That sent me from mad to gonna blow a gasket MAD!!!! I think alot of things would be fun but I know they are wrong so I don't do them. EEERRRRRR!!!! Then Payton took crayon and colored all over the television. What are these two thinking? I think god is testing me so I will continue to pray for patitence and know he is teaching me something.

Tanner got a new office partner. Yippee (kinda). Her name is Sarah. She just rejoined the air force and was assigned recruiter duty. It is so nice that he can share his load with someone else. It has been over a year that he was pulling the load for this whole area. He is an awsome recruiter and I appriciate all he does to support us. We have struggled a lot while in recruiting but we are in it for the long haul!!! It gets to me sometimes and I wish we never would have signed up for this but it is our lives now and we have to go on. There is no turning back now. It does beat having him in Iraq. At least he is just dealing with stupid highschool kids here not crazy people who want him dead. I love him and thank God for bringing him into my life he was the missing piece to my puzzle.

We will see where our road takes us.........

Oh no not a commercial!

All is quiet in the Westfall house. Everyone is asleep and I am enjoying the time to blog. For now all my duties as a wife and mother are on hold. I don't think there is anything more beautiful than watching your very own baby sleep.

It is so funny the things kids these days are getting so used to. We don't even think about it much but I noticed something yesterday and had to laugh. Payton was watching Sponge Bob (also known as Bob Bob in our house) when all of a sudden she starts yelling "MOMMA! MOMMA!". I go running in to see what is wrong, thinking something was important. She turns and looks at me and says "Momma, Bob Bob not on!". You have got to be joking my child who is not even 3 is so used to watching television without commercials that she thinks the show is over and life is going to end when one comes on. Our kids are spoiled with all the new high tech stuff out.

Well now that I have given you all a laugh I better get going the Westfall house is waking up.
