Being A Recruiters Wife!

I have been asked "what's it like being a recruiter's wife?" Well I thought about it and here is my answer.....

Being a recruiter's wife is......

learning to enjoy dinner alone.

It's making plans only to find out they will be broken at the last moment.

It's living like a single mother but being married.

It's waiting up till 10 or 11 at night just to see your husband before you go to bed.

It's getting excited that he has a full weekend off only to find out friday night he has to go into work in the morning.

It's making his favorite dinner and him eating out.

It's being put second to all the people he brings in to the Air Force.

It's watching your 2 year old point at pictures and saying daddy and knowing she misses him as much as you do.

It's listening to the storm warnings and wondering if he will make it home okay.

It's spending time with your friends so you don't have to be alone.

It's telling your kids that they have to go to bed cause it's late but promising that you will have daddy come kiss them good night when he comes home.

It's spending time with your husband while you both are asleep.

It's keeping busy so you don't think of how long it will be till you see him again.

But I do get to sleep with him and I know he is here and that he is safe and that is all that matters.

What can I say ..... I love being married to a recruiter!!!!!!
