Well it has been noted that I need to be better at this blog stuff. It has been many moons since my last blog. So much has happened since then. Where do I start?
Hhhmmmm.
Okay. We now live in Oklahoma. I was NOT happy about this move! When I moved from UT to TX I was so scared. I thought I would never fit in and I would miss my family. Well little did I know when I moved there I would meet some of the best friends EVER! This is what made moving away from them so hard. We always say we will keep in touch and talk all the time, but some how the distance always comes between us.
When we got here it was hard for me to meet people. I tried all the things I did in TX to meet people and nothing seemed to work. So I thought I would get a job. Yes a JOB. This was a huge change for me. I hadn't worked in like 5 years. I applied at a few places and didnt hear anything. A few months later I got a call from a lady at Old Navy. I went to the interview and to my surprise the lady was from the same SMALL town I just moved from. It was a sign. I got the job and started in October. I am now the assistant store manager at the Old Navy in Norman.
My husband is still in recruiting. He now does marketing and training. Its less hours but he is out of town a LOT. He is in KS right now. Thanks to his job I have made some good friends here. Some how all the guys he works with some how managed to marry ladies with the same smart ass personality as I have. Needless to say its a PARTY every time we get together. Me and one of the girls hit it off very well and now do everything together. She is making living in OK a little better.
Back to my job. I love it. It makes me feel so good to be good at something. In less than a year I have done so well at work. The position I am in now is an acting position. This means that I am kinda filling in for someone so they can see how well I can do at it. It makes me feel amazing that they trust me enough to help run a store. Did I mention I haven't even been there for a year yet. I love helping our customers and I get a great discount. I not only get a discount at Old Navy but also at Gap and Banana.
Now on to the girls. Taige just finnished the second grade. She is an honor roll student. She is still learning so well. She loves to read and is an amazing reader. Where has the time gone? She is getting so big. She learned to ride a bike without training wheels. Payton is as naughty as ever. She keeps us on our toes. She spends a lot of time sitting on the wall (the only punishment that gets to her). She loves to sneak food and hide the trash under her bed. She never eats meals cause she sneaks snacks all day. Now that it is summer we are spending a lot of time at the water park. My girls are both little fish. They have adapted so well. They did such a great job fitting in here. I am so proud of them.
Well there is your update and I will try and keep this updated a little better.
